death an impending creation?!

Was there ever a 'Tree of Life' that was hidden from Adam and his offspring?!
Or were we only promised access to the Fruits of the 'Tree of Knowledge' as and when we got closer to tasting success in unearthing the secrets of this earth and beyond?!
Why the scramble to save dear life when the only thing we are assured of is infinite 'Uncertainty' about its outcome?!
